The testing uses the DorsaVi Wearable Sensor Technology and The Quick Board Technology for NeuroCognitive understanding to objectively identify whether an athlete is ready to return to sport, along Wheeler Sports Technology to determine explosive power and change of direction bilateral efficiency.
ViMove + AMI (ATHLETIC MOVEMENT INDEX) PROVIDES OBJECTIVE DATA TO ACCURATELY ASSESS RISK OF SPORT INJURY, GUIDE ATHLETIC TRAINING AND RECOVERY PROGRAMS, AND HELP DETERMINE WHEN ITβS SAFE FOR ATHLETES TO RETURN TO PLAY.
WHEELER SPORTS TECHNOLOGY ASSESS THE CURRENT NEUROMUSCULAR STATE OF THE ATHLETE ON DIFFERENT PHASES.
HIGHLIGHTS REACTION TIME AND NEUROCOGNITIVE FUNCTION IN REAL-TIME. ASSESS CRITICAL COMPONENTS OF AGILITY.
Step 1
Gain information and gather history of injury.

Step 2
DorsaVi - AMI Assessment
QuickBoard Assessment
Wheeler Neuromuscular Profile
Starting at 16 Weeks we do first Knee Assessment or AMI with DorsaVi
(8 Weeks between tests)
So are the legs equal, are they equal with multiple movements and are they equally good?
Squat Symmetry increases efficiency of squat = increased vertical jump and sprint. Center of Mass
The DorsaVi also helps get metrics of core control (Pelvic Control) by testing the athletes plank and side plank (left/right)
Squat Symmetry increases efficiency of squat = increased vertical jump and sprint. Center of Mass
The DorsaVi also helps get metrics of core control (Pelvic Control) by testing the athletes plank and side plank (left/right)
Core Training impacts biomechanics and ACL Risk
Increased core strength = Decreased risk and Increased performance
Once single leg stability is good especially with single leg hopping (Impact Control) we perform the run test with the sensors to look at symmetry with running and stopping (Accel/Decel)
SL Performance Control Frontal Plane Motion (Dynamic Valgus)
The DorsaVi also displays parameters to identify what the athletes should look like before they progress to resistance and high volume.
All these metrics help us know what the athlete is good to participate in and what they need to work on.
Improvement in biomechanics = Reduced risk and improved performance
The other thing weβre implementing is Quick Board which will highlight reaction time and neurcognitive function.
Quick Board is the only technology that assesses critical components of agility. Our Agility Rating allows you to quickly assess an athlete's agility in less than 5 minutes. The rating consists of the following exercises:
β’ Stagger Step (Left/Right) = Movement Efficiency and Symmetry
β’ Double Leg React = Reaction and Symmetry
β’ Foot Fire = Explosiveness
The Agility Rating quantifies an athletes agility and highlights areas that need improvement.
Wheeler Neuromuscular Profile
The neuromuscular profile is one of the most important tests that can be performed with Wheeler Jump. Through this test, you will be able to estimate the current neuromuscular state of the athlete on different phases like explosive concentric strength, eccentric strength, and reactive strength.
Each of these capacities will be estimated by different jumps: SJ, CMJ & CONTINUOS JUMPS.
The neuromuscular profile test allows you to understand the capacities of your athlete to accelerate (Squat Jump), decelerate (Counter Movement Jump), and of speeding (Continuous), in order to be able to prescribe training. The lateral deficit test is based on the Neuromuscular Profile, and it will help you to determine the difference between both legs. Scientific Literature explains that differences between both legs higher than 15% are determined to be high deficits.
